The RAF Ornithological Society is a friendly, social birding club and this is what we do…

Field Trips – Day and multi-day social birding trips to suit all ages, pockets and levels of experience. Beginners particularly welcome.

UK Expeditions – All comers welcome. The science bit is not that scary – surveys, bird counts and travel. All done in good company with time to enjoy relaxation too!

Overseas Expeditions – Some can be classed as arduous due to weather, terrain or other factors such as remote locations but many are suitable for the novice as well.

Ringing – The society encourages members to experience a ringing session. If you enjoy it you may wish to train as a ringer and enjoy the delights of 5 am starts.
